Truslow Resource Consulting LLC, (TruslowRC) working with HydroAnalysis, Inc. was contracted to coordinate and complete fieldwork for an investigation of potential road salt contamination to soil and groundwater in a northern Massachusetts town. Prior to well installation, variances, permits, and permission from the town’s health department and Conservation Commission were obtained.
TruslowRC oversaw the installation of exploratory, groundwater-monitoring wells and performed well development and groundwater sampling. TRC also created a series of GIS maps for the project including bedrock geology and overall site maps. The subsurface material encountered during the drilling process was also thoroughly characterized and water quality results were analyzed to evaluate the extent of road salt impact.
